The problem

Good businesses are invisible to AI for boring reasons

It is rarely the service that is the problem. It is the data — inconsistent, incomplete, and unreadable to the systems now doing the recommending.

Your business data is scattered

Website, Google, Bing, Apple, directories and social profiles all say slightly different things. AI systems read all of them and have no way to tell which one is right.

Profiles are incomplete or stale

Hours, services, prices and policies drift out of date. The gaps are exactly the details a customer asks an assistant about before choosing.

Nobody measures the AI channel

You can see search rankings and ad spend. Almost nobody can answer a simpler question: when someone asks an AI assistant about businesses like yours, what comes back?

Discovery moved to answers

People increasingly ask for a recommendation instead of scanning ten blue links. If your information is not machine-readable, you are easy to leave out of the answer.

How it works

Six steps, then it keeps running without you

Set-up is guided and one-off. After that the scans, monitoring runs, scoring and reports are scheduled — the platform does the repeat work.

  1. 1

    Register and verify

Create your organisation and prove the business is really yours, with evidence a reviewer checks.

  2. 2

    File your business details

One guided wizard captures locations, hours, services, policies and the fields specific to your industry.

  3. 3

    Validate and score

We crawl your whole site — not one page — and score how readable it is to AI systems, check by check.

  4. 4

    Publish and distribute

Your verified record becomes a structured public profile, and guided workflows keep listings consistent.

  5. 5

    Monitor answer engines

Controlled prompts run on a schedule so you can see when and how your business shows up in AI answers.

  6. 6

    Improve continuously

Findings land on one suggestion board, prioritised, so the next fix is always obvious.

All ten AI platforms

One coverage system. Ten different answer surfaces.

See every platform Pexarc tracks, where people use it, and the evidence path behind each result. Seven use controlled provider tests; three require search-surface evidence because no equivalent public consumer API exists.

Provider test Search evidence
01

ChatGPT

OpenAI

The assistant most people mean when they say they asked AI, now with its own search surface.

Provider test
Measurement details

How Pexarc measures it

API completions as a controlled proxy for a well-formed answer, with chatgpt.com referral traffic tracked separately as real consumer behaviour.

Evidence boundary

Consumer ChatGPT Search and a raw API completion are different surfaces. We label which evidence came from which — treating them as the same number would flatter the result.

02

Perplexity

Perplexity AI

An answer engine built around citation — it names the sources it drew the answer from.

Provider test
Measurement details

How Pexarc measures it

The Perplexity API where commercially available to us, or a licensed AI-visibility data provider.

Evidence boundary

We confirm current API terms, and whether answers returned by the API cite the same way the consumer product does, before reporting either as your visibility.

03

Google AI Overviews

Google

The AI summary that sits above Google's ordinary results for a growing share of queries.

Search evidence
Measurement details

How Pexarc measures it

A licensed AI-search-tracking data source, supported by Search Console and organic-result inference.

Evidence boundary

There is no public API that reproduces AI Overviews as a signed-in person sees them. We will not claim direct API monitoring without a named, contracted data source.

04

Google AI Mode

Google

Google's fully conversational search experience, where the whole result is an answer rather than a list.

Search evidence
Measurement details

How Pexarc measures it

Same build-or-buy question as AI Overviews: a licensed tracking source, or inference only.

Evidence boundary

Newer than AI Overviews and less established to track. Research-needed — this is a build-versus-buy decision we have not closed.

05

Google Gemini

Google

Google's standalone assistant — on the web, across Android, and inside Workspace.

Provider test
Measurement details

How Pexarc measures it

The Gemini developer API as a controlled proxy for answer behaviour.

Evidence boundary

The consumer Gemini app and the Gemini API are different surfaces, and we would label results accordingly rather than presenting one as the other.

06

Microsoft Copilot

Microsoft

Microsoft's assistant, reached through Windows, Edge and Bing.

Search evidence
Measurement details

How Pexarc measures it

Likely a third-party data provider, or Bing/Copilot partner-programme access.

Evidence boundary

No simple public API returns consumer-parity Copilot answers. Research-needed before it is sold as included in any tier.

07

Meta AI

Meta

The assistant built into WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and Facebook.

Provider test
Measurement details

How Pexarc measures it

The Meta Model API as a controlled proxy for answer behaviour, kept distinct from the consumer assistant inside Meta's apps.

Evidence boundary

The model API is not the consumer Meta AI experience. Availability, regional access and data handling must be confirmed before a result is presented as consumer visibility.

08

Anthropic Claude

Anthropic

An assistant widely used for research and long-document work, with web access in its consumer products.

Provider test
Measurement details

How Pexarc measures it

The Anthropic API as a controlled proxy for answer and citation behaviour.

Evidence boundary

Same API-versus-consumer-product caveat as ChatGPT and Gemini: the proxy is evidence, not a replica of what a customer sees.

09

Grok

xAI

xAI's assistant, reached mainly through X.

Provider test
Measurement details

How Pexarc measures it

The Grok API, where commercially available to us.

Evidence boundary

Availability and terms get confirmed before we commit to it in a plan, not after a customer has paid for the tier.

10

DeepSeek

DeepSeek

An open-weight model family with a fast-growing consumer assistant.

Provider test
Measurement details

How Pexarc measures it

The DeepSeek API, where commercially available to us.

Evidence boundary

Data-handling and regional terms are reviewed first, because monitoring means sending prompts about your business to that provider.

A provider test is a controlled proxy; search evidence observes a consumer surface. Pexarc keeps those evidence types separate instead of blending them into an inflated visibility claim.

Questions

The things people ask before signing up

Can you guarantee my business appears in ChatGPT or Google AI Overviews?

No — and be cautious of anyone who says otherwise. AI providers control their own retrieval and ranking, and they change it often. What we can do is make your information accurate, structured, verified and machine-readable, then measure how you appear over time so you can see what is actually working.

Which answer engines do you monitor?

Our pilot monitors ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, because those have a monitoring approach we can run properly today. The other engines on our list are in feasibility review; each one is added only once we have a compliant, reliable way to observe it. We would rather cover three engines honestly than claim ten.

How is this different from SEO?

SEO optimises for a page ranking in a results list. This is about your business being described correctly as an entity — one verified record, published in a structured form, kept consistent across the places machines read, and measured in the answers themselves. The two work together; neither replaces the other.

What do you need from me to get started?

Your website address, your business details, and evidence that the business is yours so it can be verified. Connecting listing accounts such as Google, Bing or Apple is optional and always uses their official consent flow — we never ask for or store your passwords to other services.

Who can see my data?

Your organisation's data stays inside your organisation. You choose what appears on your public profile; evidence documents and internal findings are not published. Team access is controlled by role, and platform staff actions on your account are logged and notified to you.
